About Wayne

You might say Wayne Anderson’s success on the track is in his genes. As so many great drivers before him, he grew up around racing. His father, Dick Anderson, is known as Florida’s Short Track King and notably is one of the best Super Late Model drivers in Florida racing history.
After graduating from high school in ’86, the younger Anderson went straight to the track! He took Rookie of the Year honors at both Bronson and Lakeland Speedways in ’87. Success continued on local tracks around the state of Florida for the next several years with a number of wins and top finishes.
Anderson ran his first full year in the NASCAR All-Pro Series during the ’96 season wearing two hats. Anderson played crew chief in the garage and driver on the track. With numerous wins to his credit, Wayne Anderson has proven his worth behind the wheel and has made his own mark in the racing world! Anderson holds an impressive record when it comes to titles in the racing community. Among those titles include:
- ’93 Triple Crown Champion, Orlando Speedworld and New Smyrna Speedway; FASCAR Champion Orlando Speedworld and New Smyrna Speedway’94 Second in point standings: United Stock Car Alliance’95 Fifth place finish in first NASCAR Slim Jim All-Pro Series at Nashville Superspeedway
- ’96 First full season in NASCAR All-Pro Series; won All American 400 at Nashville Superspeedway; Busch Poll Award, won five poll positions; Second place Rookie of the Year NASCAR All-Pro
- ’97 Competed in NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, NASCAR Slim Jim All-Pro Series, NASCAR Busch North Series, NASCAR Southwest Touring Series
- ’98 First full season in NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series; won season opener in NASCAR Slim Jim All-Pro
- ’99 NASCAR Slim Jim All-Pro Champion, finished 100% of all laps run in the NASCAR Slim Jim All-Pro Series; All American 400 Champion, Nashville Superspeedway; Governor’s Cup Winner, New Smyrna Speedway; Powell Memorial Winner; most wins NASCAR All-Pro Series
